We Have A Lot To Celebrate This Infrastructure Week
It’s Infrastructure Week, and thanks to the investments we secured last Congress through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, we have a lot to celebrate! $20 billion has already gone out the door for California alone — and there’s more to come so we can build a greener, safer, more accessible America.
Here are some of the transformative projects in California, made possible from funding in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law:
- 2022 award of $849.4 million to repair bridges
- $6.97 million for operations and maintenance work on waterways, dams, and jetties
- $26 million for Klamath Basin restoration projects
- Over $8 million for port maintenance and improvements in Eureka and Crescent City
- $400 million for seismic retrofit upgrades for the Golden Gate Bridge
- Over $8.5 million for wildfire defense and resilience
- Over $391 million for drinking water infrastructure upgrades
- $65.9 million to modernize and repair the Trinity River Hatchery
- $60.3 million for projects in Northern California to strengthen Climate-Ready Coasts
- Over $56 million for electric vehicle charging infrastructure
- $8.3 billion for drought resilience
This is just the beginning of what is coming our way to rebuild America. My priority now is to make sure our district keeps getting its fair share of these transformational investments. That’s why I’ve compiled a Grants Summary Guide to help folks navigate the hundreds of grants and programs for which they might be eligible. These programs are still rolling out, so be sure to stay tuned as we continue to build back better and turn Infrastructure Week into Infrastructure Decade.
